The 'bump' that wasn't (from Rasmussen):

Saturday February 04, 2006--Forty-five percent (45%) of American adults approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Fifty-four percent (54%) disapprove.
One year ago today, President Bush reached his highest Job Approval of 2005 at 54%.
Data for this report is collected via nightly telephone interviews and released on a three-day rolling average basis. Today is the first update in which that all interviews were conducted after the President's State-of-the-Union Address.
The President's ratings bounced up a few points over the weekend leading up to the State-of-the-Union Address. It has now returned to the level of Approval we found for most of January. Of those who saw at least part of the speech, 53% gave the President good or excellent marks for his comments.
