CINCINNATI ENQUIRER Wrap-up article on tuesday's election:

Analysis: Closeness of race a surprise
Few expected Hackett's performance in GOP-heavy district
By Howard WilkinsonEnquirer staff writer

The apparent win by Republican Jean Schmidt in Tuesday's 2nd Congressional District election was in no way shocking, but the fact that Democrat Paul Hackett made it a very close election is nothing short of astounding... http://tinyurl.com/77ovt

I hope Hackett's showing in a district that's three-quarters registered Republican is a bell-weather for the 'o6 elections.
We really need a Democratic majority in Congress. Imagine the investigatory commitees and inquiries that could be undertaken with the current gang that's in the White House. Goodness! there'd be so much going on it'd force the mainstream rightwing media into doing their job. There's only so many missing white women, over-hyped weather systems, cats stuck up a tree stories for them to front off as 'news'. Right?
